New PlayStation Store Refund Policy Lets You Get Refunds Within 14 Days

Sony has updated its PlayStation Store refund policy.

Players that purchase digital content on the PlayStation Store now benefit from a 14-day refund policy that allows them to get their money back under certain conditions.

The 14-day refund applies to purchases of full games and add-ons (DLC) that you haven’t started to download, install or stream. If the content is “faulty”, as Sony puts it, you ‘may’ get a refund after downloading or installing it about are not guaranteed one.

In the same way, pre-order games can be refunded anytime before the official release date and for up to 14 days following the release date — assuming the content wasn’t downloaded or installed, that is.

PlayStation Plus, PlayStation Now, and Spotify Premium and other subscription services can be cancelled within the 14-day trial period. After that, Sony will deduct a certain amount of the subscription fee based on how much the service was used.

Unfortunately, changes to your PSN name are not refundable.

Unlike Steam, Xbox Live and other digital media store, the PlayStation Store’s refund policy is not automated and requires you to contact support to request a refund. Regardless of the payment method used, the refund gets added to your PlayStation wallet balance.
